Sesame Honey Chilli Potato

Sesame Honey Chilli Potato

Sesame honey chilli potato is good starter/ appetizer.It is made by glazing the crispy potato with honey and sauces and sprinkle sesame seeds and green onion.Sesame honey chilli potato is Indo-chinese dish.

4-5 big size potato
½  tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp red chilli powder
2 tsp tomato sauce
2 tbsp corn flour
1 tbsp oil (for baking vision)

For Sauce:
½ capsicum cut into julienne
½ tsp garlic
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp red chilly sauce
2 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp oil
Salt to taste
1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
Some chopped green onion for garnish
Oil for fry


1.Peel and cut the potato into julienne  like French fries.
2.Place the cut potato in the fridge for 1 hour.
3.After a hour , Heat a vessel and add oil for fry
4.In a bowl. Add potato, red chilli potato, tomato sauce and corn flour and mix well.
5.When oil became hot, add potato and deep fry till golden brown.
6.Meanwhile ,heat a pan and add 1 tbsp oil.
7.Add garlic and sauté for 1 mins.
8.Add  Capsicum and sauté for 1 mins.
9.Add tomato and red chilli sauce and mix well.
10.Add honey and vinegar and mix well.
11.Add deep fry potato into sauce and tossed it .
12.Sprinkl toasted sesame seeds and green oniom
Serve hot as a starter……….

                                                         Add red chilli powder,sauce and corn flour.

                                                        Heat the oil.

                                                     Deep fry the potato

                                                         Add oil and garlic          
                                                         Add capsicum.

                                                      add sauces.

                                                      Add vinegar and honey and salt.

                                                    Add fry potato in the sauce and toss it.

You can made the baked version of it. By adding 1 tbsp oil instead of corn flour  and bake at 200C for 20-30 mins or till golden brown.
