Baked Cracker / Nippatu


Baked Onion Cracker | 
Onion Nippatu






Nippatu (Pappu Chekkalu, Thattai) is a famous Andhra and south indian snack.
This is tradionally made with rice flour and deep fry. But i prepared this baked nippatu with all purpose flour and onion


Ingredients:

 2 cups of maida (All purpose flour)
¼ cup semolina
1/4 cup water (warm)
1/3 cup oil
4 Tbsp butter (melted)
1 big onion(finely chopped)
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp red chilli powder
Handful of chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp Salt

Method:

1.Add all ingredients in bowl.
2.Mix well and knead a fine dough.
3.Divide dough in small size balls.
4.Roll the balls as thin as possible and prick it with fork .
5. place on the baking.
6.Preheat the oven at 180C.
7.place the baking tray in the oven and bake for 15-20 mins or till lightly brown in color.
8.After baking cool down crackers and store in air tight container.

Enjoyyyy with tea…………..


Note:
Use minimum water to knead a dough.

                                                           roll it and prick with fork.


                                                  Place on baking tray and bake.
