Eggless vanilla
Sponge Cake
Ingredient:
1 ¾ cup maida /all purpose flour
½ tin milkmaid /condensed milk
75gm butter
2 tbsp powder sugar
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla essence
200ml soda water
1 tsp orange zest (optional)
Method:
1.Place paper in the baking pan than
grease butter/oil on all sides of 8” round baking pan.
2.In a mixing bowl, add maida,
baking powder and baking soda and mix it well.
3.In a another bowl, Add butter,
sugar and milkmaid and beat for 10 mins .
4.Now add orange zest and vanilla
essence and mix it well.
5.Now preheat the oven at 180C.
6.Add some flour and soda water and mix
it well. Add all flour and soda water in same manner.
7.Pour the batter in the baking pan
.
8.Bake for 35-40 mins at 180C .
9.Remove and cool down on the wire
rack.
10 Cut into desire shape.

Make on Gas:
1.Heat the deep bottom pan /
pressure cooker on medium heat.
2.Do not
fill water in pan/ cooker.
3.Place a lid/ separator( that comes
with the cooker) on the pan.
4.Cover the pan with a plate (this
process called preheating).and heat for 5 mins.
5.Place the baking box in the pan and cover the pan /cooker with
plate /
cooker’s lid(Remove the whistle.
6.Bake the cake for 40 -50 mins until
the tooth pick comes out clean.
Add flour,baking soda and baking powder
Add sugar,butter and milkmaid
beat it
Add orange zest and vanilla essence
Add flour mixture
Add soda water
mix it well
pour on baking pan
place on cooker
cake is ready
