Lauki Kofta Curry
Ingredient:
For kofta:
4 cup grated lauki /bottle guard
1 ½ cup besan/gram flour
½ tsp ajwain
½ tsp red chilly powder
Some crushed mint leave
Water as required
1 tsp salt
Oil for frying
For gravy:
2 big size onion (make a fine paste)
3 big size tomato (make a fine paste)
1 tsp ginger
½ tsp green chilly paste
¾ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp cumin seeds powder
½ tsp red chilly powder
1 ½ tsp dry coriander powder
1 tsp dry fenugreek leave / kasuri methi
½ tsp garam masala
½ cup fresh cream / malai
2 tbsp fresh chopped coriander
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Method:
1.Heat a vessel and add oil for fry.
2. Squeez the grated lauki and
reserve the squeezed water for gravy mix grated lauki, red chilly powder,
crushed mint leaves ,besan and some water and mix well.
3.Divide the mixture in two parts.
4 When oil becomes hot , add ½ tsp salt in mixture and make lemon size
balls.
5.Fry the balls till golden brown.

7.Place the fry balls on the plate.
For Gravy:
1.Heat
the oil in the pan.
2.Add
onion paste and sauté for 5 mins.
3.Add
ginger and chilly paste and mix it well.

Add tomato paste and cook till oil separates .

Add cumin seeds powder, red chilly
powder, turmeric powder , Coriander powder and mix well.
6.Add
Kasuri methi and garam masala and mix well.
7.
Add fresh cream and mix it well.
8.
Add 1 ½ cup water and cook for 2 mins.
9.Add
salt and kofta and cook for 10 mins on low flame or till the gravy became
thick.
Garnish
with some fresh coriander .
Serve
hot with Butter naan.
