Chana Dal Burfi




Chana Dal Burfi /Ladoo








Taday I Prepared a classic Indian sweet .Burfi is Indian sweet that is generally made with khoya and sugar and cook until thick consistency. There are many verities of burfi that is kaaju burfi, badam burfi, chocolate burti,coconut burfi.We can cut burfi in different shapes : round, square and diamond. I prepared Chana dal Burfi that is very famous in Pakistan. This burfi is made with the mixture of cooked chana dal ,sugar, milk and nuts.


Chana Dal burfi

Ingredient:
1 cup chana Dal
200gm Sugar
1 tsp nutmeg powder
1 tsp cardamom
4 tbsp Ghee
½ cup desiccated coconut
¼ cup milk
¼ cup chopped roasted nuts

Method:

1.Soak the dal for 2 hour, then pressure cook the dal with 2 cup water for 10mins.
2.Drain excess water and Mash the boil dal with spoon / spatula.
3.Heat a kadai and Add ghee and chana dal paste and continue mix for 8-10 mins.
4.Add milk and cook the in low flam .
5.When all milk absorbed, Add sugar and coconut and continue mix for 13-15 mins.
6.Halwa become thick and rolling .
7.Now add nutmeg powder,cardamom powder and nuts and mix well and turn off the flam.
8.Grease a plate with ghee and transfer the hot halwa in the plate and Flat them.
9.Allow to cool and cut the slice .

You can make ladoo .
When halwa cool down completely , make lemon size balls of it and roll the ladoo in desiccated coconut.
  Serve and enjoy.

                                               Add sugar and coconut.

                                                          Add coconut and nutmeg and cardamom powder.

                                                   thick consistency of burfi.
