Rajma recipe| Punjabi Rajma |Restaurant Style Rajma
Ingredient:
1 ½ cup rajma/kidney beans
2 onion (peel and wash and grind it and
make fine paste)
3 tomato (wash and roughly chop and
grind it and make fine paste)
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp Kashmiri red chilly powder
¾ tsp turmeric powder
1 ½ tsp dry coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala ½ cup cream
2 tbsp butter
2 glass water for cook the rajma
Salt to taste
2 tbsp fresh chopped coriander
Method:
1.rinse and soak the rajma/kidney seeds
in enough water over night or 9-10 hour.
2.Next day, strain the water and wash
rajma again .
3.In
a pressure cooker add rajma and 2 glass water and pressure cook on low
flame for 35-45 mins.
4.Check the rajma cook or not by pressing
a bean.
5.Heat the butter in a pan.
6.Add onion paste and sauté them till light golden color.
7.Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for
2 mins .
8.Add cumin seeds ,red chilly
powder,coriander powder and turmeric powder and mix it well.
9.Add tomato paste and sauté them till
tomato paste separates the oil.
10.Add garam masala and stir it.
11.Add fresh cream and cook for 1 mins.
12.Add cooked rajma with water and mix
it well and press few beans by spoons for thick gravy.
13.Now add salt and cook for 10-15 or
till the gravy slightly thick .it should not be water.
14.Garnish with chopped coriander………
Serve hot with butter naan
Note -
you can adjust red chilly powder as your taste
you can use malai instead of fresh cream
