Shakkar Paare is prepared by wheat flour/ all purpose flour crispy sweet cracker. They are also called meethi mathri in Rajasthan .In Northern states of India, Shakkar paare is made on festivals, specially on Holi Festival . Basically it is deep fry on slow flame coated it with sugar syrup / jaggery syrup and cut into small  squares. You can cut into any shape as you like. You can make savory Cracker (namak paare) by adding salt and ajwain(Carom seeds) . Many times Shakkar paare is made in marriage as a sweet .I have prepared it with some twist ,by adding  gulkand (Rose petals Jam) and Fennel  seeds than bake it to make more healthy .
