Boondi Raita
A Raita is prepared with beaten
curd/ yogurt and seasoned with cumin powder, red chilly powder , black pepper powder,
coriander / mint or other herbs and spices. There are many varieties of raita
such as cucumber raita, onion raita, carrot raita, fruit raita, mix veg raita
and boondi raita. Some families like simple beaten curd and flavor with mustard
seeds and curry leaves. I have prepared
boondi raita . Boondi is tiny fried gram flour balls. These balls very easy to make at home or can buy it from
market .They are crispy and salty balls.
Ingredient:
2 cup curd/ yogurt
1 cup boondi
½ tsp roasted cumin powder
¼ tsp black pepper powder
½ tsp black salt
¼ red chilli powder
Fresh chopped coriander for garnish
Method:
1.In a bowl, add curd and mix it
well.
2.In another bowl, add 1 cup warm
water and add boondi and keep aside for 10 mins.
3.Now strain the boondi with steel strainer
.
4.Add this boondi in curd and mix it
slowly.
5.Add roasted cumin seeds,red chilly
powder, black pepper powder,and black salt and mix it.
6.Add chopped coriander and mix it
well.
Serve it with hot kachori and
Panjabi chole.
